I first came across Jodie Robertson when I read the article in NZ House and Garden, and thought WOW! One very talented lady! Then I had the opportunity to recruit Jodie to assist with the styling of our 1960s home that was seriously in need of a refurbish; however we didn’t want to employ architects, and to have to deal with councils and consents. Jodie has an enormous network of tradesmen and consultants, who she calls on with confidence, knowing that her reputation as an honest and upfront operator stands her in very good stead with all those that she deals with. She was able to organise a much respected builder, and as the project developed, recommended other contractors that were required. All of them spoke very favourably of Jodie, and all enjoyed working alongside her.Jodie has an amazing “eye” for colour and design; and in a flash is able to visualise and create. Our home has been transformed into an up to date residence, but still maintains the comfort of a home. Throughout the whole process, Jodie was always available to advise and direct, and calmly withstood the barrage of questions and changes that ensued. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she always had a solution to any problem.
Superwoman? Yes! In her field Jodie is a one of. She is direct and honest, tells it like it is, and plays no games. She is extremely talented, both as a designer and stylist, and a photographer. By taking the time to understand our visions, goals and especially Francky’s expectations. Jodie was able to incorporate and transform the spaces and develop a vision for the property. This job is a labour of love, and dedication as the transformation was always going to be a step by step process not an overnight transformation. Jodie fully understood this, and has stood by our side the whole way. Jodie is hands on, always there to help and goes out of her way to insure every step of the project is successfully completed. We moved into a new home a year ago. Each day I went home and walk into my house it bothered me on how I had laid my whole house out but could never think of a better way to do it! Plus on top of all that it was very cluttered and disorganised.Jodie came from Hawkes Bay to Gisborne for 3 days and completely re-organized my house. I couldn’t believe how the most simple changes made such a huge different in how my house looked, even our small laundry looked twice the size once Jodie had finished with it.

We recently purchased a house in Napier which had everything we wanted but which desperately needed refurbishing. Having recently moved to Hawkes Bay we were renting at the time, and so were in the ideal position of being able to stay in our rental for an extra month so that we could completely renovate our new home before moving in.
